I write about investment trends in the economy and market psychology. I am the Chief Investment Strategist for Key Private Bank, where I formulate investment strategies for high-net-worth clients and help to guide a team of portfolio managers. As a frequent market commentator and presenter, I provide insight to clients, industry panels and media throughout the United States and abroad, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC and Bloomberg Asia. After spending six years on the faculty of the University of Iowa’s Henry B. Tippie College of Business, I joined a predecessor of KeyBank in 1987. A native of Boise, Idaho, I earned a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of California at Berkeley, and undergraduate degrees in psychology and accounting from Boise State University.
